Over the weekend, I was able to sit down and interview “2 Strong Girls” (Paloma and Mireya). I will be honest, I wasn’t exactly sure what I was going to ask them during their interview, as they are NOT from the U.S. but as it turned out, it wasn’t that hard at all. 🙂 These 2 young ladies seem to very sweet, kind-hearted, and know exactly what they’re looking for in their career. And with the will power they appear to have, they will succeed. Below you too, will be able to read their interview and understand why I feel they will succeed at a career in the Music Industry.

Q: Can you tell us a little bit about the 2 of you? (A short bio for each of you will be great.)
A: We´re Paloma and Mireya, two Spanish girls. We’re 18 years old and we are in our first year of university. Recently we started doing covers but since we were little girls we´ve been very attached to music. We speak a lot and we like to have fun but we know when we should be serious.

Q: How long have you two been together as 2 Strong Girls?
A: We’ve known each other since high school and have always liked music: We talked of forming a group, but we realized that there was no point in just wanting it, we had to struggle and fight for it. Later this summer we started to take it seriously and hence the name Strong Girls because the music industry is very difficult and the only ones who succeed are those who are strong and do not give up.

Q: Did either or both of you have someone or something that inspired you to begin a career in music?
A: We love the strength that Beyoncé has on stage because she looks sure of herself and Pitbull also inspires us because he started unsupported and achieved everything he has achieved through his own efforts.

Q: How did you meet your Producer, Donnie Alan?
A: We met through Twitter. We work with him through the internet, something we never would have imagined would happen and are very grateful for that. He trusted us and we know that someday we’ll pay him back for this! Also for us, he is not just a producer because he cares about our lives and interests.

Q: Do you write your own music, co-write with others, or does someone else write your songs?
A: Now we only do covers but we’d love to compose our own music or get someone to help us. Sometimes we try to write something on the guitar or piano but we never finish the songs hahaha.

Q: Have you ever traveled outside of your own country to perform? (If you haven’t please tell us where you would like to travel to, to perform and why you choose that country or destination.)
A: We have not had that opportunity yet and we don´t have a specific location, but any country would be great.

Q: At what age did each of you know you wanted to pursue a career in music?
A: From a very small age, as we took advantage of every opportunity to sing.

Q: If you could open a concert for ONE artist, who would you choose and why?
A: We would like to be the opening act for One Direction, since they are kids our age, and we see them with their feet on the ground and we believe that in our beginnings they could advise us as it recently happened to them.

Q: Do you prefer one genre of music over another and why?
A: Pop-rock, is the genre that we identify with most.

Q:Where can our viewers and your new potential fans find ALL of your music?
A: Twitter: 2StrongGirls

Well folks, there ya have it. These young ladies may not write their own music yet, but give it time. I bet they’ll be writing like a pro before ya know it. And doing covers isn’t a bad thing. A lot of artists start out doing covers only. Honestly, I’ve heard some artists do a “cover” of a song and sound 100% better than the artist that the song belongs to.

I wish these 2 girls the best of luck in their career. Don’t give up! Follow your dreams. Reach for the stars and don’t ever settle for anything less you want and deserve. I wish I had followed my dreams through earlier in life when I had the opportunities, but I didn’t. And I have to say, that’s probably the only regret I have in life. But it also taught me a lesson: Never regret the things you do in life. Regret the things you didn’t do, when you had the chance.

Please keep in touch as you continue your journey through the music industry and we will follow right along side of you. Best Wishes!
